Job role: To deliver workshops/talks/events catered for young people aged 06 – 25 based around STEM, English and/or Creative deliverables

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver workshops aimed at a range of different audiences themed around various topics as asked for by the visiting guests
  • Assist with the development of educational programmes in schools, colleges, LAC events, scouts, NEET and traveller groups
  • Create, present and run workshops including wild weather, human anatomy, taxonomy, dendrochronology, planets, rock pooling, maths quizzes and others
  • Delivering talks to groups of between 5 – 300
  • Assisting with the Open University on bridging knowledge between parents/guardians and school pupils knowledge of STEM subjects

  2. Summer University programmes
  3. Reaching higher days
  4. Male 1 2 1 mentoring for ‘at risk’ young people
  5. Climate change workshops
  6. Kitchen cupboard science roadshows

Job role: To produce and deliver workshops based on natural sciences to groups of young people and professionals in South West Wales.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver workshops aimed at a range of different audiences themed around natural sciences
  • Assist with the development of educational programmes at Swansea University
  • Present and run workshops including fish dissection, animal adaptations and shoreline food webs
  • Manage student assistants prior and during workshops taking place

Some key projects:

  1. CPD dissection skills to teachers/lecturers
  2. Summer residential programme – Yr12/13
  3. Summer science camp – Yr5/6
  4. Super science weekends at the waterfront museum
